Aglianico 07
KARANTO AGLIANICO 2007
(Aglianico pronounced " ah lee yah nee koe " )
Alcohol 13.4% pH 3.6 TA 6.75
Oak Maturation - 11 months in 100% old oak barriques
Aglianico is the premium red wine variety of the Campania region of Southern Italy where it has been used in winemaking for many centuries.
Vibrant purple colour with aromas of red liquorice and cherry, and upfront flavours of cherry and plum. It finishes with long, well balanced tannins and is an ideal accompaniment to richly flavoured foods such as curries, casseroles or cheese.
Tasting Notes - Winewise Silvermedal 08
''An absolutely delicious, quaffable red with vibrant cherry-like
aromas and flavour. This variety definitely has a future in
this country".
